Taliban claimed shooting down two ISAF Helos today.
An Email from the Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid came in the morning claiming a Helo was shot down in Marawara district of Eastern Kunar province – where American troops are deployed.
A 2nd email came in at 08:60 pm saying another Helo was shot down in Tagab district of Central Kapisa province – where French troops are deployed.
After I spoke to local security officials in both provinces, the claims were dismissed.
ISAF Joint Command Press Desk also denied any incident involving ISAF aircraft including precautionary landing in either of the provinces.
